Kids Yoga with Emily Barnes (Ages 6-12)

Novembers’ theme is Wiggle Your Worries Away. We will start the class by reading a story about being brave. After we will take a few minutes to practice mindful breathing. Then, we will go through a yoga flow focusing on being superhero’s and acting out how to be brave. Your child will end class with a short discussion on how one can be brave at home and at school. Along with this we will end by making worry dolls that can use to chase their worries away.

Emily recently moved to Oahu from Japan. She has been teaching kids yoga for the past 6 years and is thrilled to be bringing kids yoga to Yoga Room! Each 60 minute class moves through story time, mindfulness, yoga, and ends with a craft or game revolving around that day's theme.
