Sunday December 19th, 5:30pm-7:30pm
The winter solstice acknowledges the shortest day of the year as a return to light, a return to
purity and innocence. This time holds a powerful energy for regeneration, renewal and
self-reflection. Amplify the effects through the practice of 108 Sun Salutations, a challenging
sequence of breath centered poses to strengthen your body, clear your mind and enhance your
vitality.
The number 108 has many important and symbolic meanings.
It is said that there are 108 energy lines converging to form the heart chakra (anahata), the seat
of your true nature. And the distance between the earth and the sun is 108 times the diameter of
the sun. By practicing in rounds of this sacred number, the ancient yogis believed one could
align with the rhythm of nature and creation, accessing your highest potential.
Move inward and awaken your inner fire, let go of what no longer serves you, to clear the path
for what is meant to come your way.
